Insider Property Industry Awards Shortlisted

The Barclay Firth team are delighted to be shortlisted for the Insider Yorkshire Property Industry Awards for ‘Residential Development of the Year’ (fewer than 50 homes).

This shortlisting is for ‘Beech Gardens,’ which is an exclusive new development of ten luxury, five-bedroomed, detached family homes set within the highly regarded residential location of Willowfield Road in Halifax.

Beech Gardens was very personally designed by Architectural Designer, Michelle Gaffaney and her original concept was to create ‘luxury living whilst complimenting and supporting the environment around us.’

Beech Gardens provides many comfort features including; open plan living space, practical storage spaces, dual aspect living rooms via bi-fold doors leading to private gardens, en-suite shower rooms, dressing rooms, balconies with beautiful open views across the Calder Valley, top of the range kitchens and bathrooms, parking for several vehicles, electrical vehicle charging points, 100% low energy efficient lighting and Nest heating controls with smart phone integrated home options.  All the latest technologies were considered.  Furthermore, every step of the process was shared on social media in mini VLOG’s, articles and pictures to document this exciting journey and to show a wider audience what this project truly meant to Barclay Firth.

Each home was developed with personal care and attention by using ethically sourced materials and by using hand-selected expert building professionals including stone masons, traditional plasterers, joiners and cabinet makers, plumbers, electricians, and decorators.

Externally, each home in Beech Gardens is provided with mature landscaped gardens, external taps & sockets, motion sensor and switched lighting to external walls and separate bat and bird boxes to support wildlife.

Post and rail type fencing was locally sourced to support other wildlife such as hedgehogs and deer.

Mature shrubbery and trees were preserved where possible and an additional 45+ trees were planted around the development forming natural boundaries and a tree lined road through the development using native species including Silver Birch, Hawthorn and Beech - hence the development name.

The private entrance and open driveway is tree lined and a pretty, open communal area boosts a variety of further wildflowers, mature shrubs and trees whilst retaining local wildlife to the site, along with the addition of a large Insect House to promote a diverse natural habitat.

***LAST FEW HOMES REMAINING***

Half of the Beech Gardens homes are already sold or reserved, but a few plots still remain.  Please visit the ‘developments’ section of our website to find out more or contact Charnock Bates on 01422-757046 to arrange a viewing.

About the award shortlisting, Barclay Firth’s Development Director, Neil Hamilton stated “….I am delighted with this news and feel it is a good reflection of the hard work and effort that has gone into this development.  We continued to work through the Global Pandemic, albeit it with many restrictions in place, and the team we have formed this past year is positive, passionate, and proud which shows through and through.  I would like to thank our team for their excellent craftsmanship, dedication and efforts and we look forward to working with you all again in future…well done, everyone!”
